The Women They Warned You About
An intimate evening supporting women—in their lives, their businesses and their right to decide what comes next.
Women supporting women is at the heart of this evening. From the women-owned businesses bringing it to life, to the women gathering in the room, to the women and children supported by Halton Women’s Place.
Together, our goal is to raise $5,000 for Halton Women’s Place.
And along the way, I want us to make room for ourselves, too.
I’m creating this evening because I know how easy it is to lose pieces of ourselves while being everything to everyone else.
To swallow what we want to say. To question what we know. To keep putting off something we want because someone else’s needs always come first. To make ourselves smaller so everyone around us can stay comfortable.
And in my heart of hearts, I want us to stop.
I want a room where we can name (write) what we want for ourselves and feel supported in going after it. Where our voices, intuition and power have somewhere to go.
An evening to release, reconnect and choose what comes next.
Instead of another evening spent scrolling, come spend one connecting with yourself and the women around you.
Tarot Lori will lead us through a guided group ritual, followed by a collective tarot reading. We’ll reflect on what we’re ready to release: the beliefs, expectations, habits and old versions of ourselves that no longer serve us.
Then we’ll name what we’re calling in.
What do you want to make room for? What are you ready to choose? Who are you ready to become—and what would it look like to start showing up as her?
We’ll bring those intentions into the room, drawing on the collective energy of women gathering with purpose. There is power in writing something down, being witnessed and knowing other women are standing beside you as you begin to make it real.
Let this be a first step toward making 2027 a year you help shape. Taking agency in where you’re headed, choosing what matters to you and bringing your community with you.
No more playing small.
Supporting the women behind the businesses.
Hosted by me, Alanna Crawford of The Summit Collective, this evening brings together women-owned businesses:
Coming together is also an opportunity to discover their work, celebrate what they’ve built and introduce their businesses to someone new.
Supporting safety, choice and a future free from abuse.
Halton Women’s Place provides shelter and crisis services for women experiencing physical, emotional, financial and sexual abuse, and their dependent children. Through safety planning, counselling, support and advocacy, they help women and children rebuild their lives.
Net proceeds from ticket sales and 100% of raffle proceeds will go to Halton Women’s Place, with a fundraising goal of $5,000.
As we claim more space for ourselves, we can also help other women access safety and support.

Fundraising raffle tickets will be available to purchase separately. The tarot experience is a collective group reading rather than an individual reading. No previous tarot or ritual experience is needed.
This event welcomes women, including anyone who identifies as a woman.
Attire: Think witchy, powerful and unapologetically you. Moody colours, flowing fabrics, dramatic details, celestial touches—or whatever makes you feel most connected to your own magic. This is an aesthetic invitation, not a costume requirement.
Tickets are non-refundable but may be transferred to another guest. The ticket price includes HST. Doors open at 6, but we will officially kick it off at 6:40.
Come for yourself. Show up for other women.
